We're 30 minutes away.

Emergency call-outs are the whole business, not a sideline. Technicians are on the road overnight, and you get the full quote on the phone before anyone is sent.

Services

Every call we take is someone who can't get in

We do not sell doors, fit alarms or quote renovations. One thing, done fast, at the hour you actually need it.

Home lockout

Keys inside, or the door shut behind you. Non-destructive entry first, every time — drilling is a last resort and never a surprise.

Extracted without pulling the cylinder where the break is clean. If the barrel is damaged we carry replacements rather than leaving you waiting on a part.

Door that will not lock

A door you cannot secure is as urgent as one you cannot open. Seized cylinders, dropped latches and handles that spin without throwing the bolt.

Locked out at night

Overnight is a rostered shift, not a diverted mobile. The technician nearest you is dispatched, not the one who answers first.

Common doors, stairwell entries and lobbies. We deal with the building's rules so you are not the one arguing at midnight.

How it works

Four steps, and the longest one is the drive

0:00Call

Three questions

Lock type, is the key inside, is anyone or any animal behind the door. That is the whole intake.

0:02Quote

The number, before dispatch

Said once, in full, including the after-hours loading if it applies. It does not move after we arrive.

0:30Arrival

Named, and identified

You get the technician's name on the call. They show ID before touching the door and ask you to prove the place is yours.

0:42Open

Paid after, not before

Card or transfer once you are inside. Itemised tax invoice by email the same night.

Before you book anyone

Four checks. Run them on us too.

Lockout work attracts the oldest trick in the trade: a low phone quote, then a much bigger number once the tools are out and you have nowhere to go. These four questions make that difficult.

  • Get a total, not a ‘from’ priceOne figure covering the call-out, the labour and GST. A quote that opens with a teaser rate is not a quote.
  • Ask for the licence number on the phoneThen check the person who turns up matches the name you were given. A licensed business answers without hesitating.
  • Ask whether they plan to drillDrilling adds a new cylinder to the bill. Most home locks open without it. That decision is yours, made in advance, not announced afterwards.
  • Pay when you are insideNo deposit, no card details up front. Without an itemised invoice there is no warranty and nobody to go back to.

Questions we get on the phone

Straight answers

Will the lock still work afterwards?

On most jobs, yes — non-destructive entry leaves the cylinder perfectly usable. Where a lock is high-security or already damaged, drilling may be the only way in, and then it gets replaced. You hear that before it happens, with the price difference, and nothing proceeds without your agreement.

Do you check the place is actually mine?

Always, and we will not budge on it. Photo ID with the address, a lease, a rates notice or mail in your name. A locksmith who opens a door without asking is not one you want working in your street.

Is anyone really awake at 3am?

Yes. Overnight is a rostered shift with technicians already out, not a phone diverted to someone at home. Roughly a third of our work happens between 11pm and 6am.

My child is locked inside. What do I do?

Say it in your first sentence — that call jumps the queue and the nearest technician is sent immediately. At the same time, if there is any immediate risk, ring 000 first. They get there faster and they will not hesitate.

How much does the time of night change things?

It changes the number, and you are told the full number on the call. If it is not urgent we will offer you a morning slot at the lower rate, even though that costs us the job.

Can you fit new locks while you are there?

Yes, and we carry stock for it. After a forced door or a lost set, most people want the locks changed on the spot rather than booking a second visit.
